Here's our #WeAreWarrior of the week! The Sports Shed has immensely impacted high schools on Chicago's Southside through their donations of sports equipment for motivated athletes.

The Sports Shed is a nonprofit organization that supplies the children under-resourced communities throughout the Chicagoland area with sports activities that pose as alternatives to gangs and violence. Specifically, they provide sports gear and resources to schools and organizations that lack the funding to provide safe and successful sports programs. Through their efforts, the Sports Shed can promote the idea that it is imperative for youth to engage in sports and physical fitness to help improve their skillset to become successful leaders. To say the very least, their work can be considered as foundational to the improvement of many of Chicago's school sports programs.
